ueberraschendes wiedersehen gestern im monkey chews: jener junge mann, dessen ep ich beim open mic am dienstag erstanden hatte, stand abermals auf der buehne. die freude war grosz: revere. und er hier, er war auch ganz famos: steve smith.

tag 6 für mich in london. es regnet. quelle surprise. obwohl emma ja behauptet, dass es wahnsinnig trocken war in den letzten wochen. schwer vorstellbar. allerdings regnet es tatsächlich, als hätten sich die wolken seit monaten vollgesoffen. grauslich. am dienstag waren wir bei einem open mic im monkey chew's, wo sie robert rotifer für heute abend angekündigt haben. na gut, dann also wieder hin.

der tag ist noch ganz frisch und für mich ist es ja strenggenommen noch donnerstag. in london gelandet. die sirenen der einsatzfahrzeuge sind hier - wie so ziemlich in allen städten der welt - wesentlich lauter als die vergleichsweise dezenten klänge derer in wien. vom flughafen kurz gepäck abgestellt und gleich mit emma, joe und kevin ins studio, wo letzterer noch ein paar percussion-tracks aufgenommen hat. das neue album von emma mcglynn & the monorails wird wieder eine außergewöhnlich feine sache, so viel wurde mir heute klar. aber das war jetzt auch nicht so die überraschende erkenntnis.
i landed in london. emma and joe took me to the studio where kevin recorded a few percussion-tracks. their new album is gonna be fantastic! (sorry for the short english version, but i'm about to fall asleep)
ach, ich mag das frame so sehr. fast immer möchte ich dort sein. und bin es dann doch viel zu selten. gerade von draußen reingeschaut. und schon war die sehnsucht da. hab' sie mit heim genommen.

ende märz möchten wir das erste clara-luzia-album fertig haben. zu diesem und noch vielen anderen zwecken stopfen wir uns gerade in erhöhtem ausmaß in nefzger's weitläufige studiolandschaft, um das ganze in form zu bringen. schön wird's, so viel lässt sich schon erahnen. veranschaulichendes bildmaterial könnte ich an dieser stelle bieten, aber dann setzt es wieder prügel für mich. wer will das schon.
we want to be done with the first clara-luzia-record by the end of march. for that - and many other - reasons we frequently gather in nefzger's spacious studio. i could easily present loads of interesting footage here but then again, I might get into trouble. and nobody wants that.
